Lexington is named one of 30 cities
to participate in When Work Works, a national initiative to highlight the importance of workplace flexibilty as a strategy to enhance businesses’ competitive advantage in the global economy and to help both employers and employees succeed.

iWin’s executive director, Dr. Jennifer Swanberg, is
among the nation’s top experts invited to gather in Park City, Utah to
discuss workplace flexibility. The event, sponsored by the Alfred P. Sloan
Foundation and the Alliance of Work-Life Progress, brings together
leaders from private industry and higher education who pursue
flexible workplace solutions within their organizations.
Dr. Swanberg and Jody Levin-Epstein, Deputy Director and Senior
Policy Analyst with the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP) in Washington,
D.C present research on Job Quality, Employee Engagement and Health at the Center
for Law and Social Policy at the Louisville Center for Health Equity.

iWin team celebrates the release of, “Making Workplaces Work: Employer Best Practices in Kentucky”, a compendium of employer best practices in seven areas of innovation, at Dr. and Mrs. Lee Todd's Home.

Dr. Swanberg receives continued funding from the Ford Foundation to continue her workplace-based research on quality work environments for hourly workers employed with a national retail firm.
April, 2007: Dr. Swanberg presents paper, “Responsive Workplace for Lower-wage, Hourly Workers: Factors Predictive of Employee Engagement” at the International Work-Life Conference in Lisbon, Potugal.
